Organizations that Help After the NICU

Sometimes a little extra help makes all the difference! Check these organizations for assistance specific to individual needs. They are open to families with singletons and multiples!

Missouri WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) Organization - Feeding multiples is expensive! This program provides supplemental nutrition based on income.

Missouri First Steps Program - Preemies especially can struggle to catch up developmentally with their peers. This program provides in-home therapists who tailor sessions to the needs of children 0-3 years of age. Your doctor can provide a referral, or you can call a First Steps office directly and ask for a referral over the phone. If you qualify, services are based on income with many families qualifying for free or minimal (I'm talking $5 a month!) fees.
