Want a little glimpse into my life? :)

Books I Read:
The Good Girl's Guide to Great Sex by Sheila Gregoire: Sheila writes a great blog called, To Love, Honor and Vacuum about marriage and relationships. I think I read somewhere that she is the one of the top bloggers in Canada...for good reason! I appreciate her lighthearted, yet very helpful approach to living and loving with your mate. Okay, so about this book: I liked it. There was a lot of helpful, practical info in it, and she spent a good chunk of the book talking about nurturing the relationship as the basis for having a great time between the sheets. That's something that is often overlooked in society today! And of course, there was between the sheets tips too. While I didn't agree with everything she said, I did appreciate that she clearly differentiated between what the Bible says and her own personal opinions.

Books in the Queue:
I think I need something in the fiction genre next. Hmm...I'll go look through my GoodReads suggestions, but I'd love to hear your suggestions as well! Leave a comment with a book title/author and maybe a brief idea of what it is about. Maybe one of your suggestions will catch my fancy.

Can't Miss Television:
Bates Motel: Sean read a list of the top 10 shows on Netflix, and this one was on it. We decided to give it a try. Have you seen Psycho? Bates Motel is about the Norman Bates' childhood and what drove him to kill Marion Crane in the shower in the classic horror film. It's actually a really fascinating show, but also extremely dark. We are only three episodes into it, but it's obvious that there is no happy ending here. But it's still really intriguing...

Music I've Listened to:
KLOVE: I'm finding a happy rhythm for my car time. My mornings normally consist of driving the kids' to school while listening to KLOVE. We listen to VeggieTales while waiting in the drop off line. And then I drive in silence back home or to whatever appointments I have. It's working pretty well!

Movies I've Watched:
Amityville Horror: So this movie was on Netflix (like most of our movies) and was getting ready to expire. Sean had seen it as a kid and said it wasn't scary, so even though I'm easily scared, I decided to give it a try. Sure enough. It isn't scary. A cheesy 80's movie, yes. A scary movie, no.

Yummy in My Tummy:
All I can think about is our first meal of the season off of the grill that we had tonight. Grilled chicken! Mmm...I love the flavor of anything grilled over charcoal. Also, roasted asparagus. So, so good! Asparagus is only in season for a short time, so we try to eat as much of it as possible during that time. So yummy!

Happiness is:
Warmer weather! Spring is here, and that means that my least favorite season is finally over. You can take the girl out of New Mexico, but you can't take New Mexico out of the girl.

What I'm Looking Forward to in April:
I'm excited to go to a blogging conference next week! It's great for networking and learning new skills. It's going to be awesome!

I'm also spending a lot of time trying to get my back and hips back in shape. My quadruplet pregnancy pretty much totaled my body, and I haven't had time to go back and work on repairing them. Now that the kids are in preschool, I'm spending A LOT of time at the chiropractor and in physical therapy. I'm hoping to be much improved by the end of April...or at least not look like I need a walker.

  3. We're currently reading "Wild (Oprah's Book Club 2.0 Digital Edition): From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail" by Cheryl Strayed in our book club. I'm just getting started in it (3-4 chapters in) but I LOVE IT. Short little description from Amazon: "A powerful, blazingly honest memoir: the story of an eleven-hundred-mile solo hike that broke down a young woman reeling from catastrophe “and built her back up again."
