Yourkidvid: A Special & Unique Mother's Day Idea!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Yourkidvid, but how fun and unique I think this is is entirely on my own!

One of the perks of being a blogger is that I get a lot of emails when holidays and special events are coming up. It's next to impossible to miss a major event with all of the reminders that I get! With Mother's Day coming up, my email has been full of gift suggestions and fun facts.
Did you know that there are 85 MILLION moms in America?

I had no idea that there were so many! It makes sense now that I think about it, but....wow. 85 million. Crazy!

You know what's even crazier? I was blessed enough to end up with MY mom. One mom out of 85 million, and she ended up being mine. I bet for many of you, you feel the same way about your mom.
A photo of me and my mom taken last year.

Good! Because moms are worth treasuring!
My mother-in-law and the amazing man she raised...which makes her pretty much amazing herself! Photo taken at the kids' first birthday (that's Elijah in the photo with them!)

With all of the emails that have come through my inbox, I've seen a lot of gift suggestions like flowers, chocolates, and other conventional gifts. There is nothing wrong with those (I mean, chocolate, people.) but one gift idea in particular jumped out at me because it was unique.

Have you heard of Yourkidvid? They take all of those little videos that you shoot on your phone and turn them into a movie. It's like a moving brag book!

I don't know about you, but I have a phone, a hard drive, and a YouTube channel full of video snippets. I love them because they're moving snapshots of our life, but they are very short and stinted. Imagine having all of those put together into one well edited video to showcase your kids.

Now THERE is a fun mother's day gift!
The video editing team is an award winning group from L.A. and they handpick music and graphics to go with the video as they assemble it. It's such a cool idea! And when they are done, it's in a format that can be shared on FaceBook, Twitter, Pinterest, email...or on your phone when the grocery store checkout lady asks about your kids (which happens to me all of the time).

They really do a wonderful job turning short video snippets into something shareable. Here is a great example of their work:
How much does it cost? Their rates start at $29 which makes for a very affordable and long lasting gift! (Side note: I know Mother's Day is coming up, but Grandparent's Day would be perfect for this as well!)

Also, Yourkidvid is currently looking for America's #1 Mom! Obviously, I think it's mine, but if you think you might have the best mom, you can enter for a chance to win an iPad mini and a premium video for her (or you. I won't tell!). Just jump over, like the Yourkidvid FaceBook page, and then publish a description of why your mom is #1 on Twitter, FaceBook, Pinterest, or Instagram with the hashtag #1in85million. Don't over think it! Your entry can be as simple as sharing a moment, story, or video of what makes your mom 1 in 85 million. You have until May 11, 2014 to enter, and then the Yourkidvid editors will pick their favorite to win an iPad Mini and a gift card for a free premium video to show off on it! For more details and rules, you can go here.

And one last thing, if you do decide that you want to snag one of these fun, individually created videos for your mom or yourself, make sure you use the code "1in85million" to get 20% off your order. The code expires on May 12, 2014, so you have about a week to go through and pick the video memories that you want assembled into a memorable and unique Mother's Day gift.

Okay, now it's your turn to spill! Tell me why YOUR mom is 1 in 85 million! Brag away in the comments below!
