Sitting Tall

I'm so proud of my little people! This morning, as I finished changing their diapers, I set them all down on the floor in the sitting position. Three out of four had woken up in a really cranky mood, so in an effort to calm them down and buy myself some extra diaper changing/breakfast making time, I turned on a Veggie Tales Sing Along DVD. They love those!

They were distracted enough by the show, that they all sat like big kids completely unassisted!

Elijah, Abby, Ellie, and Caleb

The girls have been doing this for awhile, and Elijah started sitting independently a few weeks ago, but Caleb has just learned how to do it this week. For awhile, it was difficult to even get him to bend in the middle. He hated sitting even with help. It seems like such a little thing, but they've worked hard to reach this point. I'm so proud of them!

Btw, this is what happens at our house when you leave a basket of clean, folded laundry sitting on the couch while you run into the other room for a minute:
