I have the privilege of getting to give away a couple of CDs this week!
Lisa Weyerhauser is a lifelong musician living in Gurnee, Illinios (Six Flags, anyone?!) Although she is my aunt, I didn't get to really know her until I lived with her and her family for a year when I was 18. Quality family time combined with lots of music made for a very memorable year!
I still remember traveling from Chicago, Illinois, to Portland, Oregon and listening to Lisa's music over and over. She was in the midst of working on a new album and her demo cd was constantly playing so that we could find anything that needed improvements (and we never found any).
Lisa is a Christian recording artist who has several cds to her name. Combining sweet folksy sounds with a bit of rock and pop for flavor, she presents a unique musical sound that isn't often found in vocal artists. Easy to listen to with catchy songs, she appeals to a wide audience from kids to adults.
And two of my readers get a chance to enjoy her music in their homes!
We are giving away two sets of CDs including:
Big Green Alligator and Life on Earth
by Musical Artist Lisa Weyerhaeuser.
Big Green Alligator is Lisa's newest release and first children's CD!
The album is filled with fun, happy music to entertain and encourage dancing. My kids
LOVE this cd, and I can easily see them still enjoying it years down the road!
Okay, little tangent. I have to tell this story about Ellie! The other day, I turned on the CD for some pre-bedtime dance party fun. Ellie was standing on a bench in our living room, and when the music came on, she threw her little hand up in the air and started fist pumping (think mosh pit-type fist pumping) while stomping her leg in time with the music! It was hilarious! She was so into it!
With the upbeat music goes a great combination of silly kid songs and Biblical stories. In our house, it's a great alternative to turning on the TV as a distraction! My personal favorites are "Two by Two" and "The Family Song," but all of them are fun! (If you want to check out short clips from this album, click
here.)
The second CD in each giveaway set is called
Life on Earth. Mommies (and daddies) like special treats too, so Lisa wanted to make sure that there was a little something fun in this giveaway for you!
Goodness, it's next to impossible for me to pick a favorite from this sweet album! So much thought went into the beautiful melodies and words that talk about everything from the wonder of childhood to being a mom. If I had to choose just a couple for you to here, I'd choose "Oh for a Day" and "Come on Over." Love them! (If you want to check out a short clip from each song, click
here.)
Lisa is also offering a deal exclusively for our readers. Get 10% off your order of any of her CDs by mentioning the code: BEAUTIFULRUCKUS10 when ordering at this link

How fun and sweet!! :-) I spend most of my life in the car with 4 kids, so this would be a welcome distraction from "Call Me Maybe" and "Lion King" ;-)
ReplyDeleteThere are so many awesome songs on the Big Green Alligator CD. Your aunt has a God given gift! It's exciting because song is a great way to teach children about what's in God's word and how to worship. I love "Don't You Worry" and "Faithful"
