Welcome to The Little Things Thursday!!
If you are new to our link-up, we like to take a minute to look back on the little things that brightened our week. So often we get busy and forget all of the things that we enjoy as we go through our daily lives. This is an opportunity to stop, remember, and enjoy those things! Nothing is too small...in fact, the smaller the better! That's the whole point! If you have a blog, link-up below. If you don't blog, I'd love for you to participate by leaving a comment. Ready?
1. Giant Grocery Rebate
It was so nice to open the grocery sale ads last week and see a big section devoted to a rebate offer. I don't remember them ever having done this before, but I took full advantage of it! I managed to get 26 items for less than $1 (plus tax) once my rebate comes back. I didn't need a single coupon because almost every item was covered with a 100% rebate (and the few that weren't only went over by $0.19.) Seeing as how these are items that we never get because they are so expensive, it was a treat to splurge on groceries and not have it affect our grocery budget at all! It seems small, but $65 of free groceries is a little reminder that God is good! (P.S. Dear Price Chopper Grocery Stores, Please have another giant rebate like this again soon! Much love, The Ishum Family)
2. Check, Check, Check!
Last weekend, we crossed three more items off of our Summer Bucket List. The kids were beat by the end, but we got some great photos! You can already read about our first adventure at The City Market, and keep an eye out for our trip to Shatto Dairy Farm and Toddler Storytime at the Library. I'll be blogging about the last two in the next week or so!
Our language is slowly but surely coming along. Elijah is really starting to embrace words, which is so fun! We love the Leap Frog shows on Netflix, and whenever the "Opposites" song comes on, he drops everything to sing it. I couldn't help grabbing my phone to record it the last time. Warning: This is totally a mom video (Meaning that there is lots of toys clanking and you can barely make out his little voice, but I'm posting it anyway because I'm Mom, and I'm proud!)
4. I Love You! and One Minute in the Life of a Quad Mom
As I was pulling the Opposites video from above, I found two more videos that I've never shared. If you can't get enough quad-ness, feel free to watch below! They are pretty short.
5. CSA Bag: Week 4
I was kind of disappointed with our CSA bag this week. That's part of participating in this type of thing though. Sometimes the growing conditions aren't quite right, so the bags are a little light. Other weeks, they throw in extra if they have extra produce. So this week, our bag was on the light side: 6-7 small red potatoes, 4 oz of pistachios, 8 oz of cheese curds, two zucchini, 2 tomatoes, 1 jar of strawberry jam, three green onions, and a small clump of beets.
6. Giveaway Opportunity
I'm a sponsor on Girl Booklet's blog this month, and we pooled our resources to offer a giveaway. If you'd like to enter, feel free to click the rafflecopter link! It's open to US residents:

ReplyDeleteMega jealous of your rebate grocery trip!!!
So fun! I hope they offer another one soon!
DeleteThanks for visiting!
Just stumbled upon your blog!! That is fantastic you are a Mum to 4! :) I linked up to your blog hop in my latest post and shared one from earlier this week! I look forward to reading more about your family :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up! I hope you will come back and link up with us every week!
DeleteI was able to take advantage of the Price Chopper rebate this week after seeing your post about it and I saved over $57! Thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteI also got a great deal at Babies R Us this week: a package of Pampers Newborn diapers, a travel pack of wipes, 2 boxes of Band-Aids (Mickey Mouse and Jake and the Neverland Pirates), and 2 window shades for our van - all without spending a cent! (Thanks to sales, coupons, a small V.I.B. card balance, and a promotional gift card. Yay!)
I am also thankful for your great giveaways (I like the Target gift card prize best!), our sprinkler & water table, the first tomato from my plant (delish!), and the fact that my hubby gets to work longer Monday through Thursday during the summer to get a half day on Friday. Sweet! :)
Oh wow! I loved everything about your comment! It sounds like you had an absolutely wonderful week!
DeleteAnd I'm so glad that you saved so much with your rebate also!
Those videos are too cute! xo
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks!
DeleteI love the videos. I'm a mom so I totally get it. My phone has more pictures and videos of Madison than it does of myself. :) I'm thankful that Madison has started saying a few more words all on her own without any help. With an autistic brother and her being born early we were scared that she would have issues but she's been doing great. God is soo good!
ReplyDeleteGod is good! I'm so happy to hear that Madison is doing so well!
DeleteI'd love the Target card!
ReplyDeleteI love the "I love you" video...how cool to hear a chorus of I LOVE YOUS from the kids!
Me too! I'm so glad that they said it while the camera was rolling. Too often they see it come out and then quit talking.
DeleteI just entered the giveaway, I'm most excited about either the target card or the free ad space. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
