Free "I'm Thankful For..." Coloring Page

I'm excited to be guest blogging over on Tips from a Typical Mom today! She has a wonderful series going on during November called, "Project Gratitude." I hope you take a minute to look through the other posts in her series for fun crafts and activities that you can do with your kids to help them understand what gratitude is.
And definitely make sure that you check out my guest post! It includes a link to my very first printable coloring sheet!

As a reminder, don't forget that we have our own series going on over here called "The Thankfulness Project." I'm still accepting submissions and hope that you will participate. No need to be a blogger. I just want a chance to meet and celebrate your authentic moments with you and the rest of the A Beautiful Ruckus community!
Want to participate? Just send me a short post with 200 words or less and a photo or two. Try to focus on just one or two specific things rather than trying to cover everything that comes to mind. Then, send your submission to theishumquads "at" gmail.com. By sending me your story, you are giving me permission to post it on the blog and in social media. I can't wait to hear from you: readers, bloggers, even those who wish to remain anonymous!

The Thankfulness Project: The Family I Married Into

The Thankfulness Project is a community sourced project for the month of November focusing on the things we are thankful for in life. I write a weekly post called The Little Things Thursdays about things I'm thankful for, but The Thankfulness Project is all about your stories!

The Thankfulness Project is written by guest posters. The stories and opinions expressed in these posts do not necessarily reflect the opinions of A Beautiful Ruckus.

Today's post is from Beth Ann at It's Just Life:

Every single day there are things that trigger my senses and memories of what is important in my life.  Perhaps the most vivid memories are the times I have spent with family---those times spent with immediate and distant relatives—catching up on life events and sharing meals and conversations.

Those memories are what I hold near and dear in my heart with thankfulness.  I have been blessed with both a loving and supportive family of my own in addition to in-laws that have welcomed me into their lives.   I realize that not everyone has similar experiences as mine and that is what makes those memories even more important to me.
Physical possessions do not usually carry a lot of weight with me.  I have what I need but the “things” that I am most thankful for are the things that belonged to others before me.  When my father in law passed away 2 years ago we cleared out his house and in the process took some antiques that had been in the family for years.  He had painstakingly stripped and refinished them and now it seems appropriate to me to have them in our home as a constant reminder of the love of a family that took me in as one of their own.
Yes, I am thankful for these physical things but more thankful for the love that I associate with them.

Guest Post Over on Texas Tales

In case you can't get enough of our crazy life, today I'm guest posting over on Texas Tales!

Texas Tales is written by my friend, Amber, a fellow quad mom with seven month old quads: three girls and a boy! They live down in Texas, and enjoy experiencing life lone star-style. Amber just made it through a major surgery and asked me to pitch in on her blog while she is recovering. Today, I'm talking a little bit about our fertility journey and some of the things we've learned over the last two years as we've raised our own quadruplets.

If you'd like take a peek at my post over on her blog, feel free to jump on over! I'd love to know what you think!

The Multiples Community...My First Guest Post!

I was honored to be asked by a local organization to write a guest post for their blog this week!

KC Parents of Multiples is the newest multiples support group in town. It started out FaceBook based and has since grown to include a website, blog, and organized play dates. Since it's one of the Kansas City metro multiples groups, they asked me to write about being in a multiples community. I'd love it if you would go take a look and let me know what you think!

It's my first guest blog post for another website, so I'm flattered and nervous at the same time! :)
