Exciting Things Happening Around Our House!

We have been so blessed! People are really working hard to help us find what we need for our babies. This weekend we had a couple of huge things happen around our house that are so exciting!

First, a few of my friends, Jackie, Josie, and Katie, came over to help me repaint the bathroom. I've wanted to repaint the bathroom for a couple of years and just haven't gotten around to it. These ladies came in to help me pull it together before the babies come because I can't do it by myself or stand on anything elevated (per the rules that everyone gives me to live by these days.) My short little "let's paint the bathroom!" scenario turned into a much larger project than anticipated. These AMAZING ladies are now in the process of stripping the bathroom of three layers of wallpaper, repairing the drywall that has come off with the original wall paper, texturizing the walls, and painting them. Holy moly!! Do I have fantastic friends or what?!?! And they are doing all of this while I'm at work to keep me away from the step ladders. I'm so excited about the bathroom! This is the last "me thing" before the babies come. I know it's all going to be about them, but I'm going to have a beautiful bathroom while I'm taking care of them. Woot! Pictures are definitely coming!

Second, Sean's cousin, Michelle, decided to see what she could do to help us with some of the larger necessities that we have now. She told us this weekend that her amazing coworkers at a local business took up a collection to help us. They are purchasing four, brand-new, convertible cribs that have fixed sides for our babies to sleep in. This was one of my biggest fears. Most of the used cribs out there have the drop-down sides that have been recalled due to collapsing and causing infant deaths. We were going to try to see if we could rig some used cribs to be sturdier on that side. There was actually one night last week when I laid in bed wondering how I would be able to sleep if the babies weren't in safe cribs. I cried so hard when Michelle said that they were going to have a safe place to sleep. If any of those wonderful people happen past our site, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful gifts. They mean the world to us! My babies are going to be safe!!

On top of that, we've had people come over to help us clean and organize, and we've had a ton of baby clothes, a couple of car seats, a high chair, and even a double stroller show up over here. We've also had friends drop by food so that I don't have to stand up and cook. That's a huge blessing because I get queasy pretty quickly these days from smells and just trying to stand up for long periods of time.

We are so grateful to all of you who are helping us get ready for these babies. They have the biggest family ever because of all of the people who love them! We love you!
