Rebecca and the babies are doing great.  If you have contacted either of us and we have not gotten back to you.  Please do not take offense.  You are one of many who want a personal update from one of us and unfortunately, we do not have the energy to return every phone call or e-mail.   Thank you for your patience, but mine is wearing thin.

  1. The way I see it, and I mean NO harm or offense, I am not the #1 person you would call in an emergency - i.e. VERY CLOSE friend or family member. Therefore, I must hang back, give you space, and receive updates ON YOUR TIME!

    I fight the urge EVERYtime I read of your blogs to personally reach out and see if you need anything or if there is anything I can do, but I figure you have your inner circle (again closests friends and family members) to rely on, I will just be in the way and borderline annoying.

    You two need to focus on keeping your sanity during this trying time. Spending all your time answering and replying will only stress you out. Also, this is the last time for roughly 18 years, that it will be just the two of you! This time is yours and it's vital that you two have a peaceful and calm last few weeks/months until your little bundles are born.

    It's not that you don't appreciate the support, well-intentions, or all those thoughts and prayers! You just have to prioritize and have to focus on yourselves at this time. If there was ever a time to be selfish with your time, I'd say now is it!

    Perhaps, you should ask a close friend or family member to field phone calls/emails for a bit, so you two can have a little peace and quiet for a little while.

    Good luck! Hang in there!

  3. I got both of your backs. I will do what I can, keep your eye on the prize and don't let the things of this world drag you down. You're doing great!

  4. Still praying and so excited that Rebecca and the babies are staying put. I agree with Jolee, we are here to pray for you not cause you more stress. So relax and know that we are not all getting mad or offended because you don't respond to every little contact you get. Giving us update on the blog is great and if we want to know what is happening we will check that. Besides, working for your father-in-law I get the inside track on keeping up with you. Looking forward to the big announcement BUT not soon!! =)

  5. Hey there!
    Just wanted to let you know I'm praying for you. I had talked w/ Sean last week about meals, and then the weather hit. Can I bring a meal to you this weekend?

  6. Sean, you and Rebecca are doing great in handling all this and keeping us informed. I appreciate any news you have time to post. Hang in there. My prayers go out to both of you and your babies.

  7. I agree with both Teresa and Jolee. All we are really doing while you are waiting is reminding you that we are all here praying. You can look at like Aaron who held up Moses' arms when Moses was too tired to do it for himself. We are intercessing for the tired parents and those sweet babies. God knows you are weary. I see the blog updates as a way to tell all of us how it's going. Rest well, Sean and Rebecca. Your babies need you to be well rested and strong when they arrive. ;-}
