Baby Aubree's little heart rate has been dropping steadily over the last couple of weeks, and she went to be with Jesus over the weekend.
Mike and Sarah are currently in the hospital where they will induce Sarah in the morning. Tomorrow they will say hello and goodbye to their sweet daughter who they've only known for 31 weeks, but who has stolen a huge part of their hearts with her tenacious personality and adorable little face.
Our hearts are breaking for the loss that my brother and sister-in-law are facing, and I beg your prayers for them and big sister, Aly, as they work through the next several days. We know that the grief they are experiencing won't mellow for a long time, so I'd even ask that you pray for them beyond this week as they come to mind.
With that being said, I may not be around much this week. I have some pre-scheduled posts that have already been written and are set to go live over the next few days, but I probably won't be very active on the blog or social media beyond that.
Thank you for loving my extended family even though most of you have never met them. That means so much to all of us.
Thoughts and prayers are with you all.

ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for you and your family. I can only imagine the heartache. My best friend had a similar experience and delivered her baby (born without kidneys) at 31 weeks. She lived one hour. With her permission, I shared Caroline Joy's story on my blog: http://thefarrell5.blogspot.com/2011/11/caroline-joy.html
